When waves of worries

Billow and drown me.

I look up to You

When challenges overwhelm

And cowardice consumes me.

I look up to You

When sin seems permissible

But Your Spirit convicts me.

I look up to You

When sorrow surrounds

And my lonesome heart prevails.

And yet,

I look up to You

In the taste of sweet success

And in the birth of thy-willed romance.

I look up to You

In the joy of Your salvation

And in the contentment of Your provision.

I look up to You

In the pleasure of Your serenity

And in the delight of Your forgiving love.

I look up to You, dear Lord

For You are omniscient and omnipotent.

Veil not Your face from me, my Lord

When I look up to You.
