So I counseled a mommy on the last day of our medical mission. When I started to share the gospel, she suddenly bursted into tears. She explained that she was so overwhelmed with how God works in her life and grateful that the Vision Clinic opened a way for her to refresh her faith. Her house was just in the same subdivision where our church is located. She told me that she previously had a neighbor who is a Christian pastor and was holding Bible studies in her house. However, that pastor needed to transfer to another location and sadly, this mommy was left with seemingly nowhere to run to for biblical teachings and advice. Then, this Vision Clinic came. Full of emotions and tears running endlessly, she cried that she knew that God led her to the Vision Clinic to go back to her First Love: Jesus.
Hers was just one of the many stories I heard and 1 out of 110 people I was privileged to talk to and pray for. And I can't truly describe how my heart leaps for joy every time my mind recalls what happened for the past 3 out of 4 days I volunteered for medical mission.
From January 8 to 11, the partnership of City Baptist Church of Lagro and Medical Missions Outreach was able to cater to 900 people in Lagro and its surrounding areas. More than 200 of those professed their faith in Jesus Christ as their sole Savior and Lord. We won't take any credit for we know that God has been at work and deserves all the glory.
Definitely, one for the books! My dream of becoming an evangelist (even written on a slam book 😂) when I was in high school has somehow come true!
All pictures were taken by our Pastoral Assistant, Adrian Castro.
Euphoria seems to be an understatement!
